The programme content: What will I learn?

This programme consists of a number of courses each focussing on a particular aspects of the law of evidence. The courses are:

  • LLA 1305 An Introduction to the law of evidence
  • LLA 1310 The evidence of witnesses in a hearing or arbitrations
  • LLA 1320 Documentary evidence
  • LLA 1330 Hearsay evidence
  • LLA 1338 In camera evidence
  • LLA 1340 Specific types of documentary evidence
  • LLA 1350 Real evidence
  • LLA 1360 Special rules of evidence
  • LLA 1370 Circumstantial evidence
  • LLA 1380 Limiting evidence in an arbitration
  • LLA 1390 Assessing evidence

The title of each course gives an indication of what that course is about.

The methodology: How will I learn?

Labour Law Academy courses apply a particular learning methodology which will assist you to understand what is taught and to apply what you have learnt no matter you level of qualifications.

There are two steps in the learning process: the lecture and the discussion and assessment.

How long will the programme take to complete? How long is each course?

As explained the programme is made up of the course.

Each course is completed in 1 hour or less. In some cases two courses are completed.

Will I get a certificate on completion of the programme?

You will get a certificate of completion once you have attended all the webinars. If you chose to undertake the assessment process on line, you will be able to access your scores in the various tests and other assessment processes.

What if I can’t make the webinar?

If you register for the programme you will be able to access each webinar via YouTube. This means that if you are not available at the time of the lecture webinar on the Tuesday or the follow up discussion webinar on the Thursday you can still participate in them – or review them- until a week after the completion of the programme.
