1.Applications for postponement of an arbitration
Introduction	Postponement applications may be brought both prior to the commencement of a hearing, or during the hearing. The effect of a postponement is to delay the proceedings to another date.
Postponements by agreement	A hearing which has been scheduled, that is set down on a particular date and time, may be postponed by agreement provided all the parties to the dispute agree in writing to the postponement. If the agreement is received by the Secretary of the council more than seven days prior to the scheduled date of the hearing no hearing need take place and the Secretary must grant the postponement.
